Wifi PABX

WIFI PABX Installation & User Manual WIFI PABX — Installation & User Manual Call and message your team over WiFi — no internet, no monthly airtime. What is WIFI PABX? WIFI PABX turns one Android phone into a private office phone system that works completely offline. Everyone connects to the same WiFi router or hotspot — no SIM, no data and no internet are needed. One person (the Owner) hosts the team on their phone; teammates join that phone to chat and call. Installing the app Android: install the WIFI PABX APK we provide. Open the file, tap Install, and if asked, allow installs from this source. Install the app on every phone that will be part of the team — the Owner's phone and all member phones. Open the app once so it can finish setting up before your first team session. Before you start Put every phone on the SAME WiFi network — the same router, or the Owner's phone hotspot. The router must NOT have 'AP isolation' / 'client isolation' turned on, or phones can't see each other. The Owner's phone should stay on, unlocked or with the app allowed to run in the background, and on WiFi. No internet is required once everyone is connected — this is by design. Creating a team (Owner) Open the app and tap 'Create a team'. Enter your name and a team name, then tap 'Start hosting'. Your phone is now the team's hub. A QR code and a hub address (like 192.168.x.x:8010) are shown — share these so members can join. As people request to join, approve them under 'Requests'. Approved phones are remembered next time. You get a free trial when you create a team; subscribe before it ends to keep using the app. Joining a team (Member) Make sure you're on the same WiFi as the Owner's phone. Open the app and tap 'Join a team'. Enter your name, then scan the Owner's QR code (or type the hub address they shared). Wait for the Owner to approve you. Once approved, you're in and can chat and call. Messaging Open the Chats tab and pick a person or group to open the conversation. Type a message and tap the arrow to send. Ticks show sent, delivered and seen. Tap + to share a photo or a file; tap and hold the mic to record a voice note. Long-press any message to React with an emoji, Reply (quote it), Forward, Edit or Delete. Edit and Delete are available on your own messages for 15 minutes after sending. Use the search icon in a chat to find an old message quickly. Voice & video calls Open a chat and tap the video icon at the top to start a call. In a group chat this rings everyone; in a direct chat it calls that person. When someone calls you, tap the green button to answer or the red button to decline. During a call you can mute your mic, switch camera and toggle the loudspeaker. Calls travel over your WiFi only, so keep all phones on the same network. Notice board & SOS Open the Board tab to see team notices. Owners and admins can post a notice for everyone. Tap Acknowledge on a notice so the poster knows you've seen it; you can also react or comment. Owners can print a notice as an official memo using the print icon. In an emergency, tap the big red Emergency SOS button — it sounds a loud siren on every phone and shares your location. After an SOS, tap 'I'm safe — send all clear' to stop the alert for everyone. Trial & subscription New teams start on a free trial with a member limit shown on the home screen. Open the Plans tab to subscribe: Standard, Pro or Enterprise (billed yearly in Naira). You'll need internet just for the moment of payment; after that the app works fully offline again. After paying, your team is unlocked and the Owner can download a receipt from Settings. If a plan lapses there's a short grace period before the team is locked — renew to avoid interruption. Keeping the hub reachable (Android) The Owner's phone must keep running the app to stay reachable to the team. In Settings → Background, tap 'Battery optimization → Allow' so Android doesn't close the app. Keep the Owner's phone charged and connected to WiFi during working hours. An ongoing 'WIFI PABX — connected' notification means the hub is active. Troubleshooting Can't join? Confirm both phones are on the exact same WiFi and try scanning the QR again. No QR / address shows when hosting? If the Owner's phone is the hotspot, type the address manually (often 192.168.43.1:8010). Messages not arriving? Check the Owner's phone is on and the app is open or allowed in the background. Calls fail? Your router may have client isolation on — switch to a hotspot or a different router. Still stuck? Restart the app on both phones, then rejoin. Support Email info@contritrack.com for help with setup, payments or bugs. FAQs about Wifi PABX

Browse the most frequently asked questions that you may interested in.

What is WiFi PABX?

WiFi PABX turns one Android phone into a private office phone system that works completely offline. Team members connect to the same Wi‑Fi router or hotspot to chat and make voice/video calls—no SIM card, mobile data, or internet is required.

Does WiFi PABX work without internet or a SIM card?

Yes. It is designed to work over local Wi‑Fi only (P2P over Wi‑Fi). You don’t need internet access or a SIM card to use calls and messaging, as long as all phones are on the same Wi‑Fi network.

How do we set up a team (Owner/Host)?

Install the app on all phones, connect everyone to the same Wi‑Fi, then on the Owner’s phone tap “Create a team,” enter your name and team name, and tap “Start hosting.” The Owner’s phone becomes the hub and shows a QR code and hub address (e.g., 192.168.x.x:8010) to share with members. The Owner approves join requests under “Requests.”

How do members join a team?

Members must be on the same Wi‑Fi as the Owner’s phone. In the app, tap “Join a team,” enter a name, then scan the Owner’s QR code (or manually enter the hub address). The member waits for the Owner’s approval to join.

What Wi‑Fi/network requirements are needed for it to work?

All phones must be on the exact same Wi‑Fi network (same router or the Owner’s hotspot). The Wi‑Fi router must not have AP isolation/client isolation enabled, otherwise phones cannot see each other.

What features are included besides calling?

The app supports chats (including sending photos/files and voice notes), voice and video calls (including group calls via group chats), a Notice Board where Owners/Admins can post notices (with acknowledgements), and an Emergency SOS button that triggers a loud siren on all phones and shares the sender’s location.

How does Emergency SOS work?

Tapping the Emergency SOS button sounds a loud siren on every phone in the team and shares your location. After the incident, the sender can tap “I’m safe — send all clear” to stop the alert for everyone.

Do we need a subscription, and when is internet required?

New teams start with a free trial. To keep using the app after the trial, you subscribe from the Plans tab (Standard, Pro, or Enterprise billed yearly in Naira). Internet is only needed at the moment of payment; after payment, the app works offline again.

Why must the Owner’s phone stay on, and how do we keep it reachable?

The Owner’s phone hosts the team as the hub, so it must stay on and connected to Wi‑Fi (and allowed to run in the background). On Android, the Owner should allow the app under Settings → Background → Battery optimization → Allow, and keep the phone charged. A “WIFI PABX — connected” notification indicates the hub is active.
